Christmas Gifts for Gun Owners: The 2026 Guide
Share
Buying a gun guy a Christmas present is a trap. The stuff he wants is expensive and specific, the stuff in the seasonal aisle is junk, and he has told you he does not need anything, which is a lie but an unhelpful one.
Here is a guide organized by what you actually want to spend.
Under $35
This is where most people should be and where most people overthink it. Good options: quality wool socks, a real bore snake, hand warmers, targets, a mug he will actually use at 5am, or a shirt that matches his sense of humor.
A funny gun shirt lands better than most $35 gear because he will wear it fifty times. Gear at that price point is usually the cheap version of something he already owns.
$35 to $75
Now you can get something he notices. A quality range bag, a decent electronic ear pro, a good knife if he somehow does not have five, or a bundle rather than one item.
Bundles work well here. A shirt plus a mug plus consumables feels like more thought than a single mid tier item.
$75 to $150
Range memberships. A quality range bag that replaces the beat up one he has used since 2019. Ammo, if you know his calibers, though check prices first because this moves.
Over $150
Be careful. This is where well meaning gifts get returned. Optics, holsters, triggers and anything that mounts to a firearm are too personal. If you want to spend real money, put it toward training. A class with a good instructor is worth more than almost any piece of gear and nobody buys it for themselves.
The mistake almost everyone makes
Buying something that turns him into a billboard. There is a difference between a shirt with a joke he finds funny and a shirt that announces his politics to a Costco. Know which one he actually wants to wear.
Shipping deadlines, seriously
Anything printed to order needs production time on top of transit. If you are ordering custom apparel for Christmas, order by early December, not the week before. Every year people order on the 18th and are surprised.
